Metallic Mess

Metallics are potentially the sexiest colour of them all. Less risque then red, metallics are black's sexier more glamourous younger sisters. As an absolute magpie there are often glittering metallic objects and fashion pieces that catch the twinkle in my emerald eye. Golds, silver and bronze are universal and can work for everyone, all you need is the right precious metal in the right shade for you. Below are a few reflective numbers that sparked inspiration while out and about at the weekend.

Fashion Masterpiece

It is rare to spot a dress so mind blowingly encapsulating that it deserves an entire blog post dedicated in its honour. But when Watermelon Fox stumbled across this Matthew Williamson piece, this dress was more than worthy. The vibrant shades of fierce pink and rusty orange along with moody purple and ocean turquoise accents, phenominal. The feminine fan shape formed at the neckline adds a modern, unexpected edge to the dress. By far the best feature of the dress is the millionizing pleating of the silk which reveals a result of fine art. This dress goes beyond a fashion piece and wonders into the masterpiece/precious art work category.
Seasonally this dress is made for Fall with an bold colour pallette too intense and rich for Spring/Summer. For Watermelon Fox there are two key ways to wear this dress. Firstly if the weather is generous enough to hold out wear with bronze heels or for a colder autumnal evening pair with a cropped fitted leather jacket or dark toffee blazer.This unrivalled dress ticks so many boxes it needen't have taken the test in the first place. Modern Autumn

Potentially our favourite type of year here at Watermelon Fox, whats not to love about Autumn and in particular Autumn fashion? As the dusk falls early and the leaves turn crisp, we turn to fashion, beauty and all things feminine to add some much needed glamour to the darkened wet evenings. Most of us have now done the seasonal task of transfering ones summer wardrobe to their autumn/winter one. It is almost refreshing to see a closet full of chunky knits and an endless draw of scarves. Plus poking out of the ends of the closet comes the bedazzling sequin numbers reserved for the glitziest month of the year December, but onto that nearer the time, its far to early to mention the C word.
This Autumn I am looking forward to the burnt autumn leaf oranges and muted bronze and gold leading the fashion stakes. I have already experimented with this look at the VFNO Event. Modern Autumn can best be summed up in the picture below, sometimes fashion speaks louder than words.

Little Wonders

While life is busy sweeping me off my pretty feet please enjoy these gorgeous photos from a recent shopping trip. One of those YSL note pads had my name plastered all over its sexy face but that shall have to wait until a magically bonus makes it into my current account. I also can't describe how perfectly glamourous the Anya Hindmarch glitter clutches would be with any 'Autumn night out' number. Is there any occasion these sparkle trophies wouldn't be suitable for? I think I need a second job...
