Money Can Buy You Style : Morocco Special

Morroco is vast upon me so to celebrate this weeks Money Can Buy You Style is based around the beautiful style I wish to be wearing while bronzing myself in the African sun. The outfit below is what I would be wearing if someone had slipped me a few check pinks to spend on holiday wardrobe attire. I can picture myself now enjoying some pre-dinner drinks poolside in this delicious maxi and platform wedges. See you at the bar!!

Morocco Me Up

Its Official, it is time for the Watermelon Fox summer vacation . I am very much excited about soaking up the sun, sipping on the cocktails and enjoying an beautiful city of Marakesh. There is much I am looking forward to experiencing in the Moroccan environment though I imagine the majority of my time will be spent soaking up those precious golden rays poolside, mojito in hand. Incase you are wondering I am of course taking enough bikini's for a one per day turnover. There is a nice mix of colour, pattern, diamante and embellished, variety is the spice of my holiday day wardrobe.
See below my sleek black suitcase bursting with books, beach cover ups and coco butter galour . I shall be filling you in on what caught my eye in Morocco and inspired me on my wurlwind week on my return.

A long overdue post

So as you may have noticed I have taken abit of a break from blogging. The break was very much needed. Over this time period I have learnt how dependent a blog actually is, it needs constant feeding and attention, something which I have questioned whether I am prepared to give. I have also learnt that I want my blog to be more about inspiration and my tastes without being ABOUT ME. My main concern with blogging is the element of self. In our current society people are very aware of their public persona and are interested in self promotion for personal gain, I would prefer not to enter this world. For these reasons I have questioned my own personal involvement within the blogging community, you begin to question whether sharing your loves and tastes with the entire world is the direction you want to take. Taking something so personal and throwing it into the public spectrum, overexposing everything that is important to you.

Right now I am still not too sure of the future of Watermelon Fox. For now I am going to continue to blog only when the inspiration hits and live without the pressures of blogging. I do not want to blog for the sake of blogging, to fill my blog with mindless fillers or to get followers, I have made this clear since the beginning. I am trying and re-adjust my attitude into thinking that blogging is a modern alternative to scrap booking/mood boards as a way to embrace personal creativity and develop visual tastes. So if you like my tastes continue to check in every once in a while and lets watch this space with Watermelon Fox.

In Bloom

While I may be more interested in Kate than Pippa and though I am not a reader of Tatler I made an exception in this case. This magazine cover is such a breath of fresh air on the summer shelves. The cover is happy, celebratory, seasonal and feminine. The heart shaped wreath around the cover stars face made from bright blooms of full flowers is both romantic and modern. Metallic typography also makes me fall for this issue of the magazine, it is something that makes the joy of reading a magazine feel more luxurious and like a special little treat. So much for never judging a book by its cover..
