This week while researching for an event launch at work I stumbled across The Little Cake Parlour bakery, what an absolute find! The Little Cake Parlour really differentiates itself from the other generic cupcake shops by embracing their creativity and creating unique artistic designs which are so fresh compared to the repetitive use of pastel coloured cupcakes used at so many bakeries. I am yet to sample the delicious delights of The Little Cake Parlour but definatly plan on it in the coming months. My favourite has to be the popcorn cup mini cakes, playful, individual and look so good.

Money can buy style
After all the bedazzling sunshine of last week, I'd be lying if i didn't say I am a little disheartened with the overcast pebble skys and mild chill in the air. However fashion goes on whatever the weather. This week if I had the money I would definatly be wearing this outfit choice I put together. It is suitable for the Winter to Spring wardrobe transfusion, just not suitable for my current bank balance, still love it though.

Despite how easy the hour long drive through the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside is, I only tend to visit Bicester Village at best once a year. Myself and my two favourite uni buds headed off to the shopping haven ( a favourite with Kate Middleton according to The Sunday Times Style mag this month) in the great Spring sunshine. We all loved it and we somehow managed to spend over five hours there, my longest Bicester record yet! I also managed to get persuaded to spend more money there than ever before but my friends didnt get off too lightly with a Paul Smith jacket (which looked sensational), White Company Bedding (beautiful) and countless Jack Wills hoodies in toe. My indulgence was of course Matthew Williamson led, though I will not reveal what I bought or how much as it still is a sensitive subject to myself and near zero bank balance. But lets just say I am obsessed with it.

Diamonds in the Sky
Though I may not have been an avid follower of her career or cinematic achievements,I was sad to hear the news about Elizabeth Taylor. She was a flawless style icon in the golden age of film.It was her timeless beauty and the Grace Kelly-esq radiance of her youth that appealed to me.I liked her intense love of diamonds and fine jewellery, her vanity for jewels was never about owning the jewels themselves, rather about appricaiting the beauty of them as Taylor once said 'I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine. You can't possess radiance, you can only admire it'.
One Elizabeth Taylor inspired images which I had on my bedroom wall throughout university was the Lindsay Lohan POP magazine cover circa 2007. I enjoy this image as it celebrates both Elizabeth Taylor at her best and Lindsay Lohan at her best. I like the pop art element, the richness in colour and the choice of images that POP decided to run. Elizabeth Taylor unarguably impacted this POP shoot which I list in my top favourite magazine covers to date, and for that I am grateful.

Money Does Buy You Style
This week if I had made enough money I would definatly be spending my hard earned pinks on this beautiful get up. I love the healthy mix of leather and sequins complimented with a neutral printed scarf.

My Blog
After far too many months of debating, I decided it was finally time to join the bloggers game. While I would be the first to argue that the bloggers ship sailed long ago and that I am extremely late on the uptake, better late than never. I wanted to set up a blog for purely self indulgent reasons. I want to be able to document my own personal style and watch how it evolves and pick up on any interesting elements of my style which I may not notice while throwing this, that and everything on in the mornings. I also wanted to note down things which inspire me mainly in the realms of fashion, beauty, lighting etc. I am such a photography hound, I am always taking pictures of things which command my attention and speak to my aesthetic taste but am often left with a vast collection of photographs sitting dormantly on my computer. I am occasionally good and print out the most visually stimulating photographs but still there is only so much bedroom wall space.
This blog is purely a luxury for me, I do not indend on using it to create a certain profile of myself, to become a highly followed influential blogger, to make out like I am something that I am not, to force my intelligence or political views onto others with. I do not claim to have an inspirational personal dress sense (infact I often feel that I can barely dress myself let alone inspire others) and this blog is purely lighthearted and entertaining for myself . If you love it too then fantastic.
So let the blogging begin..........
